DDIA contributes insights into bicameral resolution expressing concern about Spanish-language disinformation and misinformation across Latin America and the Caribbean.

In June, 2023, U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) and various colleagues in the U.S. Senate introduced the Language-Inclusive Support and Transparency for Online Services (LISTOS) Act.

In September 2022, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and Congressional leaders met with civil society to discuss legislative solutions for voting rights issues ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. Topics in the policy roundtable included voter registration and ballot access; voter education and language accessibility; voter I.D. laws, roll purging, and precinct closures; as well as misinformation and disinformation.

In April 2023, Equis Research’s Counter-Disinformation Department, now launched as DDIA, hosted Secretary of State of Colorado Jena Marie Griswold, Mayor of Bogotá Claudia López Hernández, SOUTHCOM General Laura Richardson and a great panel of civil society representatives from the Americas.
