DDIA Founder and Executive Director Roberta Braga shared her perspectives at an off-the-record gathering hosted by the Aspen Institute.
The roundtable brought together leaders from civil society, private industry, and academia to examine the role emerging technology played in the 2024 elections, particularly for systemically marginalized communities, and chart a path for better cross-collaboration in the lead up to the 2026 midterm elections and beyond.
The day featured a variety of discussions on what communities can learn from tech, how innovators can better work with communities, and how together we can build long-term resilience and ensure full democratic participation for all.
This convening is a follow-up to last August’s pre-election gathering that focused on the risks of AI-driven voter suppression, where participants from all backgrounds stressed the need for better collaboration between communities, tech, and public servants.
